Franco Colapinto's F1 negotiations saw missed opportunities with Red Bull but led to a promising reserve driver role at Alpine.

A Red Bull Formula 1 exit has been revealed in a £119 million blow to the team ahead of the 2025 season. The Milton Keynes-based outfit may have won the drivers’ title with Max Verstappen in 2024, but the team were plagued with issues on and off the track last year.

Franco Colapinto has recently signed with Alpine, where he hopes to return to F1 as a full-time driver at some point of the season. Still, it could have turned out differently, as Red Bull were also interested in the Argentinian driver.
