With the 2024 season now officially over, the Michigan Wolverines are turning their full attention toward building the best roster possible for the 2025 season.

Michigan football went on a five-day clock following the ReliaQuest Bowl win over Alabama in terms of roster retention. The transfer portal had closed on Dec. 28 but players have until five days after the final game for their respective teams to enter.

It's been a few days since a Michigan football player entered the transfer portal, but as the dead period is about over, another Wolverine has entered the portal. According to On3's Pete Nakos, former four-star cornerback Kody Jones has entered his name into the portal and will look for a new home in 2025.

After three seasons in Ann Arbor, Michigan Wolverines cornerback Kody Jones has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. The former four-star out of Germantown in Tennessee only saw the field in seven games during his time at Michigan.
