The Suns' difficult path to the postseason just got harder.As Phoenix looks to claw its way into the Western Conference Play-In Tournament, it will be without All-Star forward Kevin Durant for a crucial stretch.

The Milwaukee Bucks continue to be locked into a fight for the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Now that Damian Lillard is out with blood clots, it makes it even more imperative that they get home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

The 36-year-old Durant entered Sunday’s game averaging 26.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 blocks. He left the Rockets game with 6:57 left in the third quarter after scoring 11 points and grabbing seven rebounds.

The former NBA MVP was injured in the third quarter of Phoenix’s loss on Sunday to the Houston Rockets. He was driving to the basket when he stepped on the foot of Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. and turned his ankle in gruesome fashion ( video here ).

"One dark-horse team worth mentioning in connection to Durant is the San Antonio Spurs," wrote ClutchPoints Brett Siegel. "After just making a big move to pair De'Aaron Fox with Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs are poised to make even more moves this offseason."
