Virgil Van Dijk has broken his silence ahead of his new Liverpool contract signing announcement. The club captain and Celtic hero is set to pen an extension until June 2027 at Anfield just days after teammate Mohamed Salah signed on.

Real Madrid have turned down the chance to sign Virgil van Dijk in the summer transfer window, according to a Spanish report, which has named the Liverpool target that Los Blancos are interested in instead.
