Despite being shown a red card in the Merseyside derby draw with Everton, Arne Slot has avoided a touchline ban for Liverpool’s clash with Wolves. Liverpool welcome Wolves to Anfield on Sunday as they look to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League.

If Slot accepts his FA charge and is given a one-match ban before Wednesday, he will be banned from the touchline at Villa Park. If Slot is slapped with a two-game ban for his red card at Everton, the Dutchman would also miss next Sunday’s trip to Manchester City.

By winning, Liverpool set a new record which continues to highlight just how impressive their home form has been this season. For the 17th successive game at Anfield, they scored two or more goals, an achievement that broke the record previously set in the 1893-94 (not a typo) season.
