Four unidentified individuals robbed a 42-year-old man and then chased him with a firearm after he confronted them in the Bronx, police said.

PROVIDENCE – A New York man pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday for his part in defrauding banks in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and at least eight other states, with an intent to swindle approximately $143,000, prosecutors said.

NYPD officials said the bus driver hit the man around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday while turning from East 149th Street onto Brook Avenue in Mott Haven. The cyclist was thrown from his bike and first responders pronounced him dead at the scene, according to police. Officials did not immediately release his identity as they worked to notify his family.

It was reported to police that on Friday, Feb. 21, at around 12:05 a.m., in the vicinity of 1420 Bronx River Ave., that five unidentified individuals in a black Dodge SUV followed a 26-year-old male victim who was walking home.
