Strong winds and blowing dust have forced the closure of Interstate 10 in southern New Mexico. According to the New Mexico Department of Transportation, all lanes of Interstate 10 are closed from Deming to Las Cruces.

Dustin Cluff, a father of three, and his girlfriend, Melinda Kobold, a mother of two, were killed in a crash on I-10 on March 1, 2025.

Blowing dust and zero visibility closed I-10 again between Las Cruces and Deming, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

The closure is due to blowing dust on Interstate 10 near New Mexico. All eastbound traffic is being routed off Interstate 10 onto U.S.

A gray Tesla caught fire on the westbound side of Interstate 10 approaching Date Palm Drive before noon on Thursday, causing traffic delays.

TxDOT fully-closed the high-traffic ramp back in February. The full closure impacted drivers headed southbound on the Interstate 35 ramp to westbound Interstate 10. A partial closure of the Finesilver curve took place in January. The closures have been causing traffic delays in the area since.

According to Florida Highway Patrol's report on the crash, the man and woman were in the same vehicle which "rotated" and struck a tree during the crash.

The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Willcox are currently closed. The Arizona Department of Transportation announced the closure due to blowing dust on I-10 in New Mexico. Eastbound I-10 traffic is being turned around and back onto westbound I-10 at milepost 352.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash that blocked traffic on I-10 for hours near Tonapah.

The interchange from southbound Loop 101 to westbound I-10 is closed, as well as westbound I-10 starting around Avondale Boulevard.
