Strong winds and blowing dust have forced the closure of Interstate 10 in southern New Mexico. According to the New Mexico Department of Transportation, all lanes of Interstate 10 are closed from Deming to Las Cruces.
Dustin Cluff, a father of three, and his girlfriend, Melinda Kobold, a mother of two, were killed in a crash on I-10 on March 1, 2025.
Blowing dust and zero visibility closed I-10 again between Las Cruces and Deming, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

According to Florida Highway Patrol's report on the crash, the man and woman were in the same vehicle which "rotated" and struck a tree during the crash.
