It’s not clear if Florida would even be interested in bringing back Meyer as coach. However, the door never seems fully closed with Meyer, who has publicly denied his interest in jobs in the past before eventually taking them.

Urban Meyer won two national championships as the head coach at the University of Florida from 2005 to '10, but don't expect him to return to Gainesville for a potential second go-around as the leader of the program.

Many Notre Dame fans likely still haven't forgiven Urban Meyer for choosing to coach Florida over the program he once worked for. While the Irish ended up with Charlie Weis, Meyer won two of his eventual three national championships with the Gators.
