Capitol Police say the man was arrested after putting a bag containing a machete and several knives through an X-ray screening machine.

The man accused of trying to bring a machete and several knives into the Capitol Wednesday claims he just needed them for work.

Police said the man was arrested at a security checkpoint for people waiting to view the former president's casket as he lies in state in the Capitol rotunda.
