Iran unveiled a new ballistic missile and an upgraded one-way attack drone at a military parade Saturday, state media said, amid soaring regional tensions and allegations of arming Russia. Iran stands accused by Western governments of supplying both drones and missiles to Russia for use in its war with Ukraine, a charge it has repeatedly denied.

On the night of September 18, the city of Toropets in the west of the Tver region was attacked by drones. Residents were temporarily evacuated from the zone where the air defense continued to repel the attack. By the middle of the day they were allowed to return to the city.

A “massive” Ukrainian drone attack sparked a giant blast in a Russian town suspected of housing an arsenal for missiles, ammunition and explosive, according to reports. The air strike on Toropets in the western part of Russia ’s Tver region also forced the partial evacuation of residents, regional authorities said on Wednesday.
