The top seed Daria Kasatkina has reached the final of the Korea Open tennis tournament. Kasatkina, world No. 13 from Russia, defeated countrywoman Diana Shnaider 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinals of the lone WTA event in South Korea at Olympic Park Tennis Center in Seoul on Saturday.

A foot injury forced former U.S. Open champion Emma Raducanu to retire from her Korea Open quarter-final clash with top seed Daria Kasatkina after losing the first set 6-1 on Saturday.

Kasatkina and Haddad Maia have faced each other three times previously, with the Brazilian winning two of those encounters.
