NIU played host to the Buffalo Bulls in a MAC game and were upended, 23-20, in overtime. Buffalo’s winning margin came on a 37-yard field goal by Upton Bellenfant. The Bulls improved to 3-1 and the Huskies are 2-1. It was the second time in school history Buffalo beat a ranked opponent.

The Huskies, playing for the first time since winning at then-No. 5 Notre Dame two weeks ago, managed just six points in the second half.
