Less than 600 people crossed illegally into the U.S. from Mexico on Sunday – a stunningly low number since President Donald Trump took office.

Border Patrol recorded 582 illegal crossings of the U.S.-Mexico border on Sunday. It’s the lowest number the agency has recorded in years.

The woman accused of killing U.S. Border Agent David Maland allegedly used a gun bought by someone who was a person of interest in a double murder, prosecutors said.

According to reports, there were no injuries in the incident near Fronton Island, an uninhabited island in Starr County, Texas.
