Friends and family are mourning the shooting death of an 18-year-old basketball star who had dreams of majoring in Criminal Justice

A deadly drive-by shooting occurred in southwest Atlanta on Christmas Eve around 6 p.m. The incident took place in the 1100 block of Smith Street near Roy Street. A woman was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are actively investigating, gathering evidence, and seeking surveillance footage.
