National Medal of Honor Museum hosts the grand opening celebration. The museum — the first of its kind in the United States — will share some of the stories of the more than 3,500 recipients of the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest award for valor in combat.

It was a hero's welcome to almost three dozen Medal of Honor recipients​ Saturday at the grand opening ceremony.
