Kellen Moore, as expected, is a hot candidate for NFL coaching jobs and the team that could have the most interest in the Eagles’ first-year play caller created a vacancy Monday when the Dallas Cowboys fired Mike McCarthy.

Moore, 36, has strong ties to the Cowboys' organization. He played in Dallas as a backup quarterback from 2015 to 2017. In 2018, he joined the coaching staff as the quarterbacks coach. He was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2019 and held that position until the end of the 2022 season.

He did it. The son of a…. an Arkansas businessman did it. Jerry Jones let the ninth head coach of the Dallas Cowboys walk out the door. Jones is the only general manager in the entire history of the NFL to have fired/let go every head coach in a franchise’s history.
