EVERETT, Wash. — The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that sent a person to the hospital in Everett. Around 6:47 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies got a call about a stabbing in the Pizza Hut parking lot at 429 128th Street Southwest in Everett.

Police are still searching for a person of interest in the stabbing of a 13-year-old boy in Everett. They identified him as 21-year-old Andrew Freeman. The teen boy was stabbed while walking to school and still recovering from his wounds.

This is the second stabbing in Everett in a 5-day span. The last stabbing victim was a 6th grader walking to school. Today’s victim is an adult. According to the Snohomish County Sheriff, the victim was pistol-whipped and stabbed in the back. The suspect then fled on foot but was quickly captured and is now in custody.

The Everett Chief of Police tried to reassure neighbors that officers were working hard to try to catch the stabbing suspect accused of injuring a 13-year-old as he was walking to school.
