The Washington Wizards announced today they claimed forward JT Thor off waivers. Thor comes to Washington on a two-way contract.  Thor (6-9, 215) is in his fourth NBA season out of Auburn, having appeared in 174 career games with the Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, and Ace Bailey are all cooking at a time when the lottery-bound Wizards really need them to.

Khris Middleton, Marcus Smart, and Richaun Holmes are three players who the Wizards could look to trade in the offseason.

A two-way contract allows an NBA team to carry three players beyond the 15 on standard contracts on its regular-season roster. The two-way players can move between the NBA team and its Gatorade League affiliate without having to pass through waivers and be exposed to the possibility of being claimed by opposing teams.
