A Wellington rugby club that lost permission to sell alcohol says while the decision is disappointing, it remains committed to operating responsibly.

Club member Jason Tuitama had a breath alcohol reading almost four times the legal limit when he hit a 28-year-old woman.

The Bangor Blue Ox Rugby Football Club is new, founded just last year and they’re looking to bring new people to the team.
