Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan left a hospital in India’s financial capital Mumbai on Tuesday, less than a week after he suffered knife injuries in a scuffle with an intruder at his house, local media reported.

CCTV cameras are being installed at Saif Ali Khan's Bandra residence after an intruder attacked him. The accused, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, was detained while attempting to flee. Saif sustained serious injuries but is recovering well after surgery at Lilavati Hospital.

Police on Sunday said they have arrested a Bangladeshi national for stabbing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Mumbai residence.

According to DCP Zone 9 Dixit Gedam's report, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad has been identified as the accused in the attack on Saif Ali Khan and has been arrested. In an interview with PTI, Gedam revealed that Shehzad, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national, was arrested at Hiranandani Estate on Ghodbandar Road, near Thane district.
