The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went big-name fishing to replace Kacy Rodgers, who left for the Detroit Lions. They chose a name familiar to the Tampa Bay area and with experience coaching at the top

The Buccaneers have picked up a new defensive line coach. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Charlie Strong is joining the club in that position. Strong, 64, was most recently a defensive analyst with Alabama in 2023.

The former Texas, Louisville and South Florida coach is heading back to the NFL for the first time since 2021 under Urban Meyer.
