Blue Origin’s historic human spaceflight launched Monday from Texas and the crew in the New Shepard rocket’s 31st mission was all women.

Holding a daisy to the sky, songstress Katy Perry emerged from a Blue Origin space shuttle before falling to her knees and kissing the hot Texan ground below her. She had been away from Earth for just 11 minutes on board the all-female crewed space flight. Visibly moved, she declared the experience had left her feeling “so connected to love”.
