The Bills moved from fourth into second in the conference with their win. For the NFC, the big game was the Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions in the late afternoon window. The Lions’ win solidified them at the top of the conference and they have a half-game lead over the upstart Washington Commanders.

It was all about the big games Sunday. In Green Bay, the Packers edged the Houston Texans 24–22 on a last-second field goal. Meanwhile in the NFC North, a near-perfect performance by Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions handed the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season on a 44-yard Jake Bates field goal in the final minute for 31–29 win.
