Live Nation sucks up to Trump after US president targets ticket scalpers
Donald Trump has issued an executive order instructing the FTC to ramp up its efforts regulating ticket scalpers in the US, including by better enforcing the BOTS Act. Although scalper-centric, the order could also impact on the wider ticketing business,
"I think that's a step forward in bringing two markets together," Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino said, speaking at the D: Dive Into Media conference.
The lawsuit from investors pointed to statements from the company downplaying allegations that it violated antitrust laws.
