NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - On Jan. 7 around 2:34 a.m., a big rig truck overturned on I-49 southbound near milepost #135 south of Natchitoches, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Further south on Highway 49, around Orange Grove Road, crews have been building a new concrete median. The new turning lanes have started to take shape and the work should be finished by the summer.
