Governor Landry announced that the La. Dept. of Public Safety and Corrections has finalized and implemented an updated protocol that allows for the sentences of inmates on death Row to be carried out.

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry said crime victims and their families have waited too long for justice in the form of death penalty executions.

Louisiana has approved a protocol for executions by nitrogen hypoxia, which will allow death sentences to be carried out again after nearly 15 years, Gov. Jeff Landry said Monday.
