The space was taken over by The Pearl, an offshoot of Pearl Divers, a sapphic speakeasy inside the Cap Hill venue Your Mom’s House.

Pearl Divers said it will move into the Mercury Cafe's downtown Denver location with a new name by the end of the month.

The Mercury Cafe’s nearly 50-year run is coming to an end. By the end of the month, the longstanding Five Points restaurant, bar and event space will turn into The Pearl — the continuation of Capitol Hill queer speakeasy Pearl Divers.
