Juneau County judge sets $5 million bail for Virgil Thew, man charged in triple homicide
MAUSTON – A Juneau County judge has set a $5 million cash bail for a man charged with killing 33-year-old Elizabeth Kolba and two girls, ages 12 and 13. Virgil G. Thew, 47, of New Lisbon, faces three counts of first-degree intentional homicide that were filed Jan. 3. Juneau County Circuit Court Judge Stacey Smith set Thew's bond Friday afternoon.

The judge set the bond during Thew's first court appearance at the Juneau County Justice Center on Friday. Thew, 47, is accused of killing his live-in girlfriend and two girls in his care in New Lisbon.
