THROGGS NECK, The Bronx (WABC) -- A Board of Trustees for Preston High School in the Bronx said they negotiated with the school for months, but ultimately it will end up closing. The high school is set to close at the end of the year.

Preston High School in the Bronx is now part of the growing list of Catholic high schools facing closure, but dozens of students, parents and staff are calling for the doors to remain open.

Students and parents are reeling after Preston High School, a beloved all-girls Catholic school in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx, announced it will be closing in June after nearly 80 years. FOX 5's Richard Giacovas has the story.
