Mauritius’ opposition coalition has won the country’s election by a landslide. The Alliance for Change coalition took all parliamentarly seats in a major rejection of the country’s current government.

Mauritius' opposition leader Navin Ramgoolam was appointed prime minister on Tuesday, returning to the post a decade on after his coalition won a near clean sweep of seats in parliament in a general election.
