It's equally surprising to see the San Francisco 49ers sitting at 1-2 to begin the year.  Week 3 also gave us a number of eyebrow-raising upsets, including the Carolina Panthers rolling over the Las Vegas Raiders and the Denver Broncos taking down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to earn their first wins of the season.

You know it was a wild week in the NFL when even the Carolina Panthers (1-2) won a game. They upset the Las Vegas Raiders (1-2), 36-22, as 5.5-point road underdogs Sunday. Underdogs have been profitable this season -- 3 underdogs of 6-plus points won straight up in Week 3 -- and we'll see if that trend continues.

Some of the top favorites have fallen in the first three weeks. Will expectations and reality even out in Week 4?
