Two adults and five high school students have been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred outside of McLane High School in August, with four of the students being students at Mclane High School and one being a student at Hoover High School.

Four more people have been arrested in relation to an incident last month that involved gunshots near McLane High School.

McLane High School last month. The shooting happened around 3:40 pm on Wednesday, August 21 outside the AutoZone near Cedar and Clinton avenues. Investigators say a 15-year-old had pistol whipped another teen before a 16-year-old opened fire.

Police arrested two students they say brought guns into Flushing High School on Thursday. The students, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old, were taken into custody around 12:27 p.m., according to the NYPD.

A student was arrested at Live Oak Junior High after bringing a gun to school, the Livingston Sheriff's Office said. Another student warned administrators about the gun.
