Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney, who said entering the offseason that signing No. 1 goalie Jeremy Swayman to a new contract was his top priority, confirmed the restricted free agent won’t be on the ice Thursday when the team returns for training camp.

For now, the Bruins will have to forge ahead with both Joonas Korpisalo and Brandon Bussi as their primary options in net.

Jeremy Swayman will not be taking the ice for the Boston Bruins until he and the team agrees to a new contract.
