A Detroit man accused in the 2022 fatal shooting of a retired city police officer whose body was found in a park has been arraigned, officials said. Erik Delano Davis' arraignment was Wednesday on several charges in 36th District Court in Detroit in connection with the slaying of Stefon Hodo, 41, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said.

A 30-year-old man is facing a first-degree murder charge in the 2022 death of former Detroit police officer Stefon Hodo.

The man allegedly killed officer Stefon Hodo during an argument and moved his body to another location before breaking into his home and stealing his vehicle and handgun, the prosecutor's office said.

A legal advisor to Detroit police confirmed that the bailiff who shot and killed a man during an eviction is a former member of the department.
