Once again, China is on the fast track to the future and is about to revolutionize rail travel after unveiling the prototype for what may very well be the world’s fastest passenger bullet train, on December 29th in Beijing.

They’re speeding toward a faster future in China, thanks to a new model of high-speed bullet train. Over the weekend, state-owned rail operator China State Railway Group unveiled a prototype for its CR450 train, which it claims will be the fastest commercial high-speed railcar in the world.

Beijing: Two prototypes of the CR450 high-speed train, unveiled last Sunday in Beijing, are capable of reaching a test speed of 450kmh and an operational speed of 400kmh, which will make the CR450 the fastest high-speed train in the world once it enters commercial service.
