Rock band Coldplay set a new record for the largest stadium concert of the 21st century on January 25-26, drawing over 2 lakh fans in Ahmedabad, surpassing George Strait’s Texas record of 1,10,905 attendees.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently hailed Coldplay's concert in India and urged private and state sectors to focus on developing infrastructure necessary for live concerts and events. He said, "You must have seen fabulous pictures of Coldplay concert organised in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

Coldplay generated a massive buzz in India with their five concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The British band added to the excitement by live-streaming their final concert, which took place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Republic Day, January 26.
