According to the police, around 3:20 p.m., detectives were responding to a reported shooting in the 5400 block of Longfellow Drive. Upon arrival, detectives found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The man was later identified as Terry Wayne Jones, 35.

Officers were dispatched to the area after an argument between Jackson and two women led to shots being fired.

On Nov. 16, deputies with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office were responding to a reported shooting in the 11700 block of Nicholson Drive. Upon arrival, deputies found James dead in the hallway near the stairs on the third floor.

The shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of Longfellow Drive. Terry Wayne Jones, 35, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died from his injuries at the scene. The suspect(s) or motive is unknown at this time.
