A former Jacksonville mayor has been appointed by President Joe Biden to serve as vice chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board.

Former Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown will serve as the new vice chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). Last March, the Senate confirmed Brown as the 47th board member of the NTSB.
