We loved the museum and gardens and stayed several hours longer than originally planned. It was like traveling back in time to another time and place. Full review by Ashley W

My friend and I are planning a visit soon and we want to take some photos of our vacation fun. I've been reading conflicting reports on Vizcaya's photography permits and need to know before I go...I'm not a professional but I have a dslr and again want to get a few portraits in, however on the weekends it says you have to purchase a $350 permit plus tax to do any kind of posed portrait photography. I feel that's steep compared to other museums/gardens. Some people have said they only paid the $22 admission fee and no one asked about a photo permit, others said they had to pay. There's no clear distinction if travel photography for fun is free, even if its basically portrait photography. Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks!
A:
The permit is for professional photo shoots.
Q:
Is there a parking lot?
A:
Yes there is enough parking with a little trail to walk up to the ticket booth!
