Staplehurst is a village in Seward County, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Lincoln, Nebraska Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 242 at the 2010 census. Staplehurst was established in 1879 when the railroad was extended to that point. A family of early settlers being natives of Staplehurst, England, caused the name to be selected.
