Elyria is a village in Valley County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 51 at the 2010 census. Elyria was originally called Eldon, and under the latter name was established in 1888 when the railroad was extended to that point. It was renamed when it was discovered that another Eldon already existed in Nebraska.
